The latest guidelines issued by the Health and Safety Executive provides advice for farmers who encourage members of the public, including children, to view, touch or pet animals. This includes Open Farm Sunday events. In particular we would like to draw your attention to page 5, left column: 'In exceptional circumstances...'

The Health and Safety Executive have issued this agricultural information sheet No 36 for anyone who uses a trailer to move people around on a farm, including Open Farm Sunday.
