Cefnogaeth i ffermwyr Cymru
Support for Welsh farmers
Dydd Sul Fferm Agored LEAF yw diwrnod agored blynyddol y byd ffermio. Mae'n gyfle gwych i groesawu pobl i'ch fferm a darganfod y byd ffermio yn uniongyrchol. Gall cyfranogi fod yn haws ac yn fwy buddiol nag y tybiwch.
LEAF Open Farm Sunday is farming's annual open day. It is a great opportunity to welcome people onto your farm to discover first-hand the world of farming. Getting involved can be easier and more rewarding than you might think.
Dyddiau Sul Fferm Agored yng Nghymru
Mae gan bob fferm stori i’w rhannu gyda’r gymuned leol ar Ddydd Sul Fferm Agored. Mae pobl yn wirioneddol falch o gael y cyfle i ymweld â fferm, cwrdd â ffermwr a dod i wybod am ffermio yng Nghymru.
Mae estyn allan i’r gymuned leol ac ymgysylltu â phobl nad oes gennych gyswllt rheolaidd â nhw, yn helpu’ch cymdogion i ddeall beth rydych chi’n ei wneud ar y fferm a beth sy’n digwydd yn y caeau o’u hamgylch. Mae’n helpu i ddatblygu cysylltiadau cryfach rhwng ffermwyr, tyddynwyr a defnyddwyr, ac mae’n helpu’r cyhoedd i werthfawrogi’r gwaith a wnewch.
Open Farm Sunday in Wales
Every farm has a story to share with the local community on Open Farm Sunday. People are genuinely pleased to have the opportunity to visit a farm, meet a farmer and find out about farming in Wales.
Reaching out to the local community and engaging with people who you don’t have regular contact with, helps your neighbours to understand what you do on the farm and what is going on in the fields around them. It helps to develops stronger links between farmers, smallholders and consumers, and helps the public to value the work you do.
Sut ydw i’n cymryd rhan?
Chi sydd i benderfynu ar y math o ddigwyddiad i’w drefnu a’i faint, i fod yn addas i chi a’ch fferm. P’un a yw’n daith fferm i ffrindiau a chymdogion, neu eich bod yn agor gatiau eich fferm ar gyfer pâr — mae pob digwyddiad yn bwysig.
Mae gan ymwelwyr ddiddordeb mawr mewn dysgu am weithgareddau ffermio bob dydd. Bydd yr hyn a wnewch chi bob dydd ar eich fferm yn rhywbeth newydd a chyffrous i’ch ymwelwyr. Nid oes angen i chi gynnal llu o weithgareddau ychwanegol. Gallech ddangos i ymwelwyr sut byddwch chi’n mynd ati i archwilio da byw, godro eich gwartheg neu gerdded o amgylch eich cnydau. Siaradwch am sut byddwch chi’n trawsnewid caeau glaswellt yn fwyd blasus, maethlon, yr holl brosesau sydd ynghlwm a sut ydych chi’n cynnal safonau lles anifeiliaid uchel. A hyn i gyd wrth i chi reoli cefn gwlad ar gyfer bywyd gwyllt ac i ni gyd ei fwynhau.
How do I take part?
It is up to you to decide on the type and size of event to organise, to suit you and your farm. Whether it is a farm walk for friends and neighbours, or you open your farm gates for a couple — every event matters.
Visitors are fascinated to learn about everyday farming activities. What you do every day on your farm will be new and exciting to your visitors. You do not need to put on lots of extra activities. You could show visitors how you check livestock, milk your cows or walk your crops. Talk about how your transform fields of grass into delicious, nutritious food, all the processes involved and how you maintain high animal welfare standards. All this whilst managing the countryside for wildlife and for us all to enjoy.
